A very important question

Do you like your Peeps fresh or stale?

By stale, I mean do you open the package and let them sit in the cupboard for a couple of days until the marshmallow starts to get a little dry and chewy? Or do you like them all fresh and soft right out of the package?

I suppose another very important question might be do you even like Peeps to start with?

I'm an addict. And I like them stale. I have a package "processessing" in my kitchen cupboard as we speak.

I love this time of year.

Peeps.

Cadbury eggs.

Jelly beans.

Black jelly beans.

Brach's Chicks and Rabbits.

Chocolate covered marshmallow eggs.

What's not to like?

  1. Stale preferred but fresh if really having a sugar attack! At the rate the create peeps you could just stale out the previous holiday (hmmm Valentines Day) as the next one is coming in (Easter) although I'm not sure there are any between Easter and Halloween. Guess then you stock up! :)

  4. Ohhh I am a Peep ADDICT!! I absolutely LOVE them. I prefer the bunnies to the chicks for some reason. I usually have several packages (don't ask how many several is) that "process" and then several to eat fresh.

I don't really like Cadbury eggs. I LOVE Cadbury Mini Eggs though. I guess it's the filling that I don't care for.

And we still don't carry those Brach's things, but I'll be more than happy with Peeps.

  5. Stale I love them stale and like the rest of the things you mentioned as I am a chocoholic... Have you tried the Chocolate covered peeps yet? oh yum they do one with raspberry marshmellow and cover it with milk or dark chocolate. I bought up all the Valentine hearts once they went to 50 percent then 75 percent off. Only trouble is I ate them all....

  6. Wow, I guess I am in a serious minority with not liking any of those candies. Peeps weird me out, jelly beans I just don't enjoy, and I don't like the Cadbury egg filling.

What I do LOVE this time of year are Robin's Eggs. Especially the small size ones, though the big are good too.

  7. Can't see the point of that much sugar without any chocolate or butter. Although there's a certain gratification in biting the heads of of things, I'll save it for the chocolate rabbit.

  9. There's no doubt, no question, the BEST Easter candy is Cadbury Mini Eggs. Yummy chocolate in a candy shell. Sort of like M&Ms, but actually edible.
